The potential for solar thermally produced process heat is enormous: process heat accounts for two thirds of industry's final energy demand. A large portion of that lies in the temperature range of between 100 and 200 °C. The Industrial Solar process heat collector is optimised for this application - which is currently powered with fossil fuels. With a thermal peak power between 100 kW and several MW it closes the gap between small solar thermal collectors and solar thermal power plants.
